Mobile Gaming Market still in growth in China

There are more Chinese internet users than double the entire population of the United States, and there is so much money to be made, that nothing is going to stop it.
One of the biggest opportunities in China might be in mobile gaming, where China is about to overtake the United States for the first time ever, according to the Mobile Gaming Report 2015 out from Asian Games Market Intelligence company Niko.

2015 will be the first year that the Chinese mobile games market revenue will have surpassed that of the U.S. market, where revenue to reach $4.5 billion in 2015. The size of the Chinese market is only expected to grow, more than doubling to $11.1 billion by 2019.

While high mobile gaming usage is obviously a good thing for companies wanting to expand there, they may have trouble breaking in if they are not specific to the culture.
Kabam partnered with Longtu, to publish its Marvel game, they saw the need to, rather than doing it themselves, have a Chinese company publish and market the game for them in order to better let it succeed. They also changed the game, everything except the title and the IP, in order to suit the Chinese audience.

That Dragon Cancer, love for one developer's son

Joel was diagnosed with an atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, a particularly invasive form of brain cancer. He was treated with radiation and chemotherapy, but now a doctor, fighting back his tears, is explaining that the tumor has returned. Little Joel will not survive. It is just a matter of time.

For the last three years, Ryan, a game designer, has been working with a team of coders and artists on "That Dragon, Cancer" a kind of interactive biopic, exploring his son’s life and the experience of caring for him. The game takes the form of a “point and click” adventure, built around his family’s memories.
It began with a book Amy (mother) wrote to explain Joel’s situation to the couple’s four young sons. In it, she depicts his struggle as a mythical battle, with his cancer portrayed as a terrifying dragon. The game is touching and also, there are wits in some scenes too.

Joel died on March last year. He died after fighting a succession of tumors over four years, after relearning to walk and speak several times.
