Just a day after Microsoft announced the free games to Xbox Live subscribers on Feb, Sony announceed the month's free games for Play Station Plus subscribers. The free games coming to Play Station 3 ( Yakuza 4/ Thief ), Play Station 4 ( Transistor / Apotheon ), and Play Station Vita (Rogue Legacy / Kick & Fennick )  owners woth a PS Plus membership starting Feb 3rd.  The offer vailds both North America and Europe.

 

One of the games, “Yakuza 4” is a follow-up to 2009 game “Yakuza 3” and is the fifth installment in the series. The game takes place in Kamurocho, a fictionalized version of Shinjuku’s red-light district, Kabukicho. The game follows four main protagonists, Kazuma Kiryu, Masayoshi Tanimura, Shun Akiyama and Taiga Saejima. “Yakuza 4” features a number of mini-games, including table tennis, karaoke, hanafuda and fishing.

 

“Yakuza 5” launched in Japan on Dec.6, 2012 and is scheduled to be released in the United States and Europe this year.

Free Rockstar Game offer starts this week

 

Rockstar Game offers a free games to anyone who preorders the upcoming PC version of open world game "Grand Theft Auto 5" through the Rockstar Warehouse for the limited time. The offer is only vaild for only less that 72 hours through Jan 30 (Friday)- Feb 1 (Sunday), people should hurry for taking the advantage of the promotion.

 

Moreover, if any player buys one of the eleven games which is on the Rockstar's site and preorders through the site will be received 1.3 million worth of in-game cash. Also, Everyone who preorders the PC version would get 1 million. The GTA 5 PC release date in now March 24 (after several delays), 2015.  

Battlefield Hardline beta goes global on Feb 3

According to Electronic Arts announces the open beta release date and its available game modes and platforms.

 

The beta playing will be available from Feb 3rd to Feb 8, including North America, Europe and all other major territories which the game will ship on. All beta can be played on PC, Play Station 4, Xbox One, Play Station 3 and Xbox 360. Only Japan's beta will not be available on Xbox platforms.Three separate maps will be available to play. Conquest will be available on the Dust Bowl map, while Hotwire is available on both Dust Bowl and Downtown. The Heist mode will be playable on a bespoke map called Bank Job.

"Heroes of the Storm" new founder's package releases

Blizzard Ent. tells the Korean press that that new founder's package of the online game "Heroes of the Storm" would be released in Jan 21th. The founder's pack includes heroes, skins, rides, golds, and beta playing. The product covers beta rights for game playing, three heroes, three types of skins, gold cyber wolf, and in game golds of 2,500.

Founder's package provides all contents with reduced prices than original, same price as the existing Battle package. Also, the founder's pack cost 3,9000 won (40 dollars) on the "Battle Net" in Korea. However, this package does not support global paly mode, thus the player only can play in limited regions.

In the Victorian era, one night in the mysterious treasure island, where ancient golden ruins secretly buried.

There are many dangerous traps and obstacles on the way to the goal, and also mysterious hidden spots.


Who else lives here?

Nobody lives here. only wild animals are around the treasures.


What does their architecture look like?

Complicated figures of temples, puzzled, pyramid figures and ancient Maya culture alike. 



What happened in the environment prior to the player getting there?

The introduction starts with the scene that protagonist gets the map of the mysterious island from a stranger and aboard to the ship.


How did the player arrive to the environment? What brought them there?

The protagonist is a famous treasure hunter who searches for the gold (coins), thus, he arrive to the environment by his ship.

The level layout contains how to jump outs to get items and scores, which make easy to the players understand basic movements of the game. Moreover, there are many ways to defeat the enemies, and this level layout show some cases.

How is the pacing and flow managed to keep the player challenged but not bored?

The level itself is quite easy, but this game is well balanced and its flow which make the players keep interested. 

How much is left to the player to figure out on his own vs. how much is handed to him?

In the "basic" level, the level layout contains most of the information (around 90%), only excluded special items and special hidden stages. 

What kind of obstacles are presented to the player?

There are enemies that comes out unexpectedly, hidden ways, the cliffs and difficult jumps.

How do they ramp up the difficulty as the tutorial advances?

As the players follow up the tutorial maps, the play can naturally pick up the basic skills such as jumps and avoiding the enemies without stress.

What kind of positive and negative feedback is given to the player?

The game is quite well balanced, thus there is no negative feedback.This level layout shows positive interest of the game.  

How is the story integrated (if any)?

The basic story is the hero's journey to save the princess from the enemy, and every levels show the flows of the journey.
